Martha K. Dutcher, 79, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place early on Mother's Day morning, May 8, 2022.
Martha entered this world on March 31, 1943, in Coffee County, Georgia, born to the late E.W. and Annie Kight. Martha loved travel, flowers, fashion, food, and jewelry (not necessarily in that order), and she also very much enjoyed a good laugh.
She was preceded in death almost nine years ago by her husband, Paul K. Dutcher.
Martha is survived by her devoted daughter, Tirzah McLain, and husband, William Thomas McLain, both of Galveston; her eldest son, John A. Terrazas II, of Houston; her youngest son, Cipriano Terrazas, of Downy, California, and wife, Linda; her eldest grandson, John A. Terrazas III, of Glendale, California, his wife, Diane, and two great-granddaughters, Ayumi and Emiko; her eldest granddaughter, Savannah Tisio, of Springfield, Utah, husband, Tony, and two great-grandsons, Wyatt and Virgil; her middle granddaughter, Clara McLain, and a third great-granddaughter, Wilhelmina McLain, both of Galveston; her youngest grandson, Thomas McLain, also of Galveston; her youngest granddaughter, Morgan Terrazas, of Missouri City; and many Dutchers, Erwins, Rileys, and other friends too numerous to list by name.
A graveside gathering and celebration of Martha's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Paul and Martha's earthly resting place in the Monahans Memorial Cemetery
