Martin Olivas

Martin “Marty” Olivas, 55, of Grandfalls, Texas passed away Saturday, April 16,2022. Martin was born January 30, 1967, in Palomas, Chihuahua. He was employed for Oil State for twenty years in Monahans, Texas. Martin loved to go dancing and going out with his friends on the weekends.

Martin is preceded in death by his father, Celestino Olivas and two nephews, Javier Julius Olivas, and Zakariah Cabrera.

Martin is survived by his loving mother, Maria Olivas, brothers and sisters, Manuel Olivas, Marta Olivas, Fredrico Olivas, Celsa Tucker, Rig Olivas, Donna Olivas, Sammy Olivas, Maria Olivas, twenty-two nephews and nieces, and fifteen great nephews and nieces.

Visitation for Martin will be from 9:00am-6:00pm on Thursday April 21,2022, at Harkey Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at Harkey Funeral home after visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m. on April 21, 2022. Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Monahans at 2:00pm on Friday, April 22, 2022, with Father Joe officiating. Burial will follow at Tamarisk Cemetery.
