Mary Nall

July 4, 1937 — August 10, 2015

Mary Lee Nall, 78, formerly of Monahans, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at her Silverado Senior Living residence in Plano, TX. She was born July 4, 1937 in Monahans to William Julius and Anna Mae (Luttrell) Grigry.

Mary completed her GED in 1978 and worked in the cafeteria for 25 years for Monahans-Wickett-Pyote ISD. She volunteered for numerous organizations, including the Pink Ladies and Meals on Wheels. She loved working in her yard and was the world's greatest cook. She could often be found shelling her pecans. Mary adored raising her cats, Furbie and Petey, and was considered by many to be the #1 Monahans Loboes Fan. She loved people, especially her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews; and she enjoyed watching her children play sports. She kept herself busy and was always on the go. Her strong faith in God helped her though life, particularly following her near-fatal automobile accident in 2006. She was a survivor with a very strong work ethic and a love for (most) people.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Mae Grigry; brother, Jake Dempsey Grigry; sister, Clara Ruth Adams; and grandson, Jeffrey Arnold Nall.

Mary is survived by her sons, Arnold Nall and wife Susan of Plano, Gary Nall and wife Lisa of Fulshear, Bruce Nall and wife Mary of Magnolia; daughter, Vickie Nall of El Paso; and their father William Deane Nall of Victoria; brothers, Leon Andrew Grigry and Stephen Wayne Grigry; sisters, Billie Jean Ragan of Odessa, Polly Ann Flatt and husband Gary of Woodson, and Donna Jo Hunt and husband Mike of Mancos, CO; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 6 - 8 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10 AM at Southside Baptist Church with Executive Pastor Scott Hall officiating., followed by interment at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Jarred Nall, Jordan Nall, Brandon Nall, Mike Ragan, Ben Grigry, and Brett Grigry will serve as pallbearers. David Nall and Jeffrey Arnold Nall are honorary pallbearers. Scripture will be read by her granddaughter, Victoria Nall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311 or www.diabetes.org/about-us/contact-us.
