Mary Anne Stafford, 64, entered the gates of Heaven on May 8, 2019 in Monahans.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 on Thursday, at First Baptist Church (504 S Alice in Monahans), Dr. Chris Powell will officiate.
Mary was born in Carmi, Illinois, to George & Ethel Finch on December 29, 1954. The family moved to Monahans in 1963, and Mary graduated from Monahans High School in 1972. In 1979, she married Ted Stafford and they made their home in Wickett. There, they raised their two daughters before later moving to Monahans. Mary worked for the Ward County Sheriff's office for five years as a dispatcher & jailer, where she was also a reserved deputy for one year. As an EMT, she also worked PRN shifts with Ward Memorial EMS & later as a Paramedic in the Emergency Room. Before retiring in 2014, Mary worked in nursing administration at Ward Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Monahans.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Ted Stafford; her daughter, Sara Davy, of Monahans; and her mother, Ethel Finch, of Odessa.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Angela Simonton & husband, Chris, of Monahans; son-in-law, Loren Davy, of Monahans; her beloved grandchildren - Gavin, Peyton, Christian, Luke & Jake; her father, George Finch of Odessa; two sisters, Suzi Pinkston, of Odessa; Nancy Hicks & husband, Buddy, of Monahans; brother, Mike Finch and wife, Linda, of San Angelo; as well as many nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Disabled American Veterans. Mary lived for her children and grandchildren and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
