Mayrha Gomez

Mayrha Gomez, 41, of Monahans, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 in Temple, TX. She was born March 2, 1974 in Mexico to Lino Miguez and Socorro (Porras) Gomez.

She was a substitute teacher for MWPISD and a DJ with Hotwheels. She enjoyed crafting, designing, listening to music, watching movies, the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys and Monahans Loboes games.

She was very family oriented and sociable with everyone. Very sweet and caring, Mayrha always put others before herself. She loved to entertain her DJ clients. She enjoyed going to work either as a substitute or DJing to get out and enjoy other people's company, such as students or friends/clients.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Manuel Gomez, Felicitas Molina, Ramon Porras and Marina Portillo.

Mayrha is survived by her parents, Lino M. & Socorro Gomez of Monahans; and brother, Miguel Gomez of Monahans.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 1 - 8 PM and Friday, June 5, 2015 from 9 AM - 6 PM at Harkey Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited Friday at 7 PM at St. John Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11 AM at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. James Hall officiating, followed by burial at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Adrian Armendariz, Raymond Porras, Javier Porras, Jr., Eddie Tavarez, Jr., Justin Tavarez, Alonzo Natividad, Aldo Natividad will serve as pallbearers.
