Michael Truex

Mike Truex, 63, of Magnolia, TX, passed away on January 10, 2018 in Monahans. Mike was born in Ft. Worth, TX to E.D (Ned) and Martha Truex on July 12, 1954.
Mike grew up in Odessa where he was an avid Boy Scout and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended Permian High School and was an active member of the marching band and graduated in 1973. Mike then attended Texas State Technical Institute in Waco and graduated from there in 1974 with an A.A.S in Automotive Technology. He went to work as a mechanic for Waukesha and was transferred to Houston in 1976. He became a Cornwell Tools representative from 1985 until 1999. He went to work for Ecolab in 2003 as a Pest Control Technician where he remained employed until his death.
Mike is preceded in death by his mother Martha, his father Ned and his younger brothers Tim and Chris.
Mike is survived by his wife Kathleen, his younger brothers Patrick Truex and Jeff Thummel and younger sisters Janelle Edwards and Joan Sanders as well as his mother Mary Truex and many nieces and nephews.
