Naomi Hernandez

Naomi Nunez Hernandez, a resident of Dallas, Texas passed away July 6, 2022. She was born in Monahans, Texas to Simon and Alicia Acosta on June 11, 1972.

She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was a passionate San Francisco 49er fan, so much that she founded the 432 Niner Empire chapter in Odessa, Texas. Naomi was a tamale eating champion and loved to make her staple green chicken enchiladas for everyone. She was strong-willed, stubborn, and had a resilience that goes unmatched.

Naomi loved her friends, cherished her family, and adored her two cats, Glacier and Denali. She had a laugh that echoed through any room and made friends every corner she turned. She was loved by many and will leave a strong presence with all of us.

Naomi is preceded in death by her father, Simon Acosta Sr.

She is survived by her mother Alicia Acosta, children Kendra and Daimyan Hernandez, grandson Alder Keel, sisters Nancy and Rachael Pool, Leticia and Nikki Acosta, brothers Simon and Sylvia Acosta, Larry and Susan Acosta, nieces Kelsey, Madison, Lindsey, Shelby, Audriy and Harmonie, nephews Nicholas, Josiah, and Wesley along with great-nephew Marcos.
