Otila Rios

Otila Rios passed on August 17, 2020 after a short illness.

She was born in Grandfalls on December 19, 1931 to Francisco and Sofia Rios.

Otila is preceded in death by her Parents and Sisters: Martiana Fuentas, Reimunda Ramirez, Empidia Corrales, Brothers, Guadalupe Rios and Francisco Rios, Jr.

Survivors include sister Santiaga Benton of Grandfalls and numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.

Services are scheduled at Harkey Funeral Home on Thursday, August 20, 2020. Rene Ramon officiating. Family visitation 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.,

Rosary 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. Burial will follow at Tamarisk Cemetery in Grandfalls.

Otila was a Housekeeper and Child Care Provider for many years for many families and is well loved and remembered by children (now adults) she helped nurture. She provided care, company, cooking, and cleaning for her father until his passing. Otila was a gentle, loving woman who would be there if needed to help at any time. Otila has many friends and family, she, and her smile will be missed.

Otila attended school in Grandfalls and is a graduate of the Class of 1949. She lived most of her life in Grandfalls. She is a Cancer survivor of more than 40 years. She attended St. Gertrude's Church in Grandfalls.

The family would like to thank MCH nurses, staff, and all of her doctors for their outstanding care and loving kindness to Otila during her brief stay, Ward County EMS and Life Flight Ambulance. Many thanks to Home Hospice for their wonderful care at a much-needed time.
