Pam was born in Monahans, Tx, and raised in Grandfalls with her family. She moved to Monahans in junior high and graduated from Monahans High School with honors and attended college for one year in Arlington, Tx. She then transferred to Texas A&M in Kingsville and graduated August 16, 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Pam and her first husband, Fred Mayer, moved to Monahans where she worked as a mud engineer for DMI Drilling Fluids. She later went on to help develop oil based mud and was published in World Oil. Pam then started a chemical and mud engineering company called P. Chem which she ran with her second husband Frank for many years.
Pam taught one year of junior high science in Kermit, Tx, when she found out she had multiple sclerosis. She lived a full life with this disease, with her family always rallying around her. She was the light of life for her husband, Frank and her sons, Shane and Blake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James J. and Donna Kennedy and brother, Jay Douglas Kennedy.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Frank Bounds, sons Shane JG Mayer and Kenneth Blake Bounds.
