Pascual G. Olibas, 80, went to be with his Lord on May 18, 2022. He was born in Colorado City, Texas on October 23, 1941. The Olibas family moved to Monahans around 1944.
Pascual attended Monahans schools and later attended Odessa College where he obtained a certification in law enforcement. He worked in numerous jobs: Coca Cola Company, Texas Highway Department, car salesman for Trio Motor Company, All American Insurance Company, owned a bail bonding company, and Justice of the Peace for 24 years. Pascual also coached little league baseball and served on the Housing Authority Board.
Pascual married Carmen Ortiz (Olibas) from Alpine in 1966. They have two children, Cleve and Valerie, who graduated from Monahans High School and were members of the Big Green band.
Pascual was preceded in death by his father Angel Olibas, mother Elvira, and brothers Juan and Angel Junior.
He is survived by his wife Carmen Olibas, son Cleve, daughter Valerie and husband Robert, brother Gomesindo and wife Delia, sisters Gloria Hernandez and Anita Valencia, and has six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Viewing and Rosary were held on Friday, May 20th,2022. His mass was on Saturday, May 21st, 2022, officiated by Father Joe of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church. Cemetery services will be held at a later date.
Pascual Will be remembered as a very caring person, who tried to help everyone in need and loved his family very much.
