Payton Frank Pesina, a beloved son, brother, and friend, left this world unexpectedly on December 3, 2023, in Alpine, Texas at the young age of 15. He was born on February 14, 2008, in Odessa, Texas. Payton brought endless joy and laughter to those around him during his short but remarkable life. He was a sophomore at Grandfalls-Royalty High School where he not only excelled academically but also shined as the #6 player on the high school football team.
Payton possessed an infectious personality that was characterized by kindness, generosity, and a genuine spirit that uplifted all who had the privilege of knowing him. His vibrant sense of humor brought joy to even the darkest of moments and his easy-going nature encouraged those around him to embrace life's wonders.
In his spare time, Payton enjoyed immersing himself in nature. Whether it was hunting or fishing, camping, or hiking, he cherished every moment spent outdoors. He had an adventurous spirit and loved exploring the great outdoors with his friends and family. Payton had a special affinity for all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and found solace in the thrill they provided. His love for shooting guns and being near any body of water was unrivaled.
Payton also shared a unique bond with his twin brother Kayden. The two were inseparable and formed an unbreakable bond that transcended words. They supported each other through thick and thin and experienced life's ups and downs together. Not only was Payton an outdoor enthusiast but he also had a passion for gaming. Many hours were spent immersed in virtual worlds alongside his twin brother Kayden. Whether it was an epic battle or an exciting adventure, Payton gamely embraced every challenge.
Tragically, Payton's untimely departure left an unfathomable void in the lives of those who loved him. He is survived by his loving parents, Orlando Ray Pesina and Abbegale Marie Gering; and his step-father, Catarino Perez who all cherished him beyond measure. Payton is also survived by his twin brother, Kayden Pesina, who shared an unbreakable connection with him. The loss of Payton leaves a void in Kayden's heart that can never be filled, but the memories they created together will forever dwell within him. He also leaves behind his sister, Jade Perez, whose life was enriched by their shared experiences and sibling love. Together they laughed and grew as individuals through their connection. He is also survived by his grandmother, Katherine Gering; grandfather, Frank Pesina; great grandmother, Rose Brown; aunt and uncle, Crystal and Nick Martinez; uncle, Gavin Gering; and a host of extended family and friends.
Payton Frank Pesina brought so much light into the lives of those who knew him. His vibrant spirit will forever remain etched in our memories.
