Ramon Garcia

On July 19, 2019, Ramon Garcia of Monahans, Texas passed away at the age of 77. He was the loving husband of Mary Garcia whom she shared 62 years of marriage.

Ramon was born on July 10, 1942 in Colorado City, Texas to Domingo Garcia and Manuela Garcia. They had four children; Diana, Tammy, Ramon Jr, and Tina.

Ramon was a loving husband, father, and great grandfather. He always believed in encouraging, loving, and wanting the best for everyone. He loved to tell stories of the past that made everyone laugh. He had a welcoming gleam that made everyone feel loved. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan, a proud Texan, fisherman, who loved traveling, and John Wayne.

Ramon is survived by his loving wife; Mary Garcia, children; Diana Garcia and Patsy Merrett, Tammy Sotelo and husband David, Ramon Garcia Jr and wife Barbara, Tina Martinez and husband George and Naomi Sotelo, grandchildren; Jennifer Garcia, Nicholas Salazar, Christopher Garcia, John Terrazas, Ashley Salazar, Savannah Tiso, Megan Starnes, Robert Abila, Daniel Abila, Brittni Elizondo, Jeremy Sotelo, Austin Merritt, Austin Garcia,  great grandchildren; Angel Phoebe, Josiah, Drita, Jordan, Liliana, Anthony, Aden, Amaris, JC, Elijah, Nicolas, Kash Ramon, Gracie, Jaime, Jaiden, Zander, Ayumi, Miko, and Wyatt.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2019 at Harkey Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2019 at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Alan Alaka officiating, burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
