Ramon Martinez Sr.

Ramon Martinez Sr., 81, born on April 11, 1939 in Sanderson, Texas, passed away on May 19, 2020. Ramon was retired from Mobil Pipeline. He was a field gauger and meter technician. His hobbies included visiting all the restaurants in town, going to car auctions and bringing home vehicles that always needed something! But it was his therapy.

Ramon is preceded in death by his father Julian and his mother Juanita.

He is survived by his two children Diana Burton and spouse Michael of Llano, TX and Ramon Jr. and spouse Karen of Monahans, TX. Seven brothers Julian Jr. of Sanderson, TX, Urbano of Monahans, TX, Gil of Fort Stockton, TX, Domingo of Tucson, AZ, Jose Angel of San Antonio,TX, David of Banning, CA, and Joe of Beaumont, CA. Sister Belia Martinez of Beaumont, CA. Grandchildren Jeremy Reyes of Austin, Jared Polanco of Dallas, Summer Gaddis of Monahans, Lee Martinez and spouse Audri of Monahans. Great grandchildren Barrett Lee Gaddis and Baker Cruz Martinez.

Viewing will be held on Monday, May 25, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm Rosary will be held at 3:00 pm at Harkey Funeral Home in Monahans, Texas.

Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. John’s Catholic Church. Per St. John’s, a mask is required to allow entry into the church and social distancing is to be practiced. Interment to follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
