Rex Stafford age 75 of Monahans passed away on 06/29/2024. Rex was born in Albion, Texas 06/25/1949 to Earl and Ruby Stafford. Rex loved fishing, riding horses, hitching up his donkeys to his ole wagon and taking everyone for rides and driving it in parades. He loved old westerns, especially ones that starred John Wayne and he loved listening to Hank Williams Sr. songs.
He married Barbara Crawford November 5, 1968, in Wickett Texas, they made their home in Monahans together for 55 years. He worked as a truck driver until his retirement in 2017.
Rex is preceded in death by his dad, Earl Stafford, his mom, Ruby Stafford, his sister, Anna Bell Morris, brothers, Ted and Tex Stafford, and granddaughter, Britani Stafford.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Stafford; 3 children, Larry Stafford, Stacey Ritter and her husband, RC, Kelcey Torrez and her husband, Ismael; 3 sisters, Lillie Craft and her husband, Melvin, Betty White, Shelley Hawthorne and her husband, Jackie; two brothers, Roger Stafford and Shawn Stafford; Brother-In-Law Patrick Crawford; 12 grandchildren, Brandi Hardy and her husband, Justin, Tara Berry, Kristen Thurmond and her husband, Antonio Perez, Kaci Funderburg and her husband, Clay, Taylor Stafford, Mckayden Ritter, and Chris, Payton Ritter, Izaya Torrez, Vaneza Torrez, Ismael Torrez, Jr., Andrew Oliver, and Madison Stafford; 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and close friends.
The family of Rex wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to everyone who has called, text, brought food, visited, and prayed for them.
