On October 23, 2017 at 1:19 p.m. the Lord up above called upon our dad, husband, son, brother, cousin, and friend named Ricardo Montez which was also known as Ricky or Rick. He was our right-hand man in our family, he taught us a lot in life, and how to respect people. Being around him was never a dull moment. He was always the one making everybody laugh when you were down in your life, the type to bring you back up and put a smile on your face. He loved to BBQ, go fishing, hunting, golfing, and of course he loved watching his Cowboys play on Sundays. The man in our life has made such an impact that we all remember his sayings when he was around like, "Give me some of that neck", "lets went", "Ta Brutz, Mira Que Chuladas", and a lot of others. One of our favorites that he told us our whole life was "if it ain't broke I can't fix it, but if it's broke I can fix it." Now he has no more pain and is with the man above. As us kids would say "we love you pops, we love you dad, we love you daddy" and last but not least "we love you Sucka."
Ricky is survived by his loving wife; Patty Holguin, children; Richard, Meranda, Nathan, Scotty, Johnathan, Mireya, Gage, Anthony, mother; Antonia, sisters; Mary, Yolanda, brothers; Sammy, Joe, nine grandsons, seven granddaughters, and four great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father; Apolinar Montez.
