Rosalia Armenta, 73, passed away on May 20, 2020 in Odessa, Texas. She was born in Sierra Blanca, Texas to Gumercindo and Elvira Sanchez and graduated from Sierra Blanca High School. She married Joe Danny Armenta on July 12, 1967.
She worked at Montgomery Wards and in-home health and was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
Rosalia is preceded in death by her parents Gumercindo and Elvira Sanchez, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Fernando and Louisa Armenta, her brothers Jose and Edward Sanchez, her sisters Yolanda Salazar, Emma Porras and Andrea Sotelo.
She is survived by three children; Gloria Armenta, Jose Armenta, Crissy Armenta, siblings; Amelia Ramirez, Maria Socorro Durant, Juan Sanchez, two grandchildren; Sarah Vega and spouse Gino, Andrew Aker, two great grandchildren; Rose Aleah and Jude Vega.
Pallbearers are Eric Sanchez, Joel Sanchez, Loretta Davis, Mark Sotelo, Johnny Sanchez, Oscar Salazar. Honorary pallbearers include Andrew Aker, Gino Vega, and Jude Vega.
Rosary will be held at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 4:00PM. Mass will be held at St. John’s Evangelist Catholic Church Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 11:00AM, burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Per St. John’s, a mask is required to allow entry into the church and social distancing is to be practiced. Interment to follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
