Roy Lynn Proctor Crowsen, 70, passed away on July 15, 2018 in Odessa, Texas. Roy was born on July 31, 1947 in Monahans, Texas to Ira Lee Crowsen and wife Virginia Rodgers.
Roy went to school at Gensler Elementary in Wickett, Texas and graduated from Monahans High School in 1966. He enlisted in the United States Navy on September 1, 1967 and discharged from the service on August 31, 1973. Roy choose to be an electrician with the Sea Bees and served a total of six years. During his service in the U.S. Navy, he was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. After serving his country he went to work at the West Texas Children's Home as a grounds keeper for 17 years and retired at the age of 62 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Ira Lee Crowsen and Virginia Rodgers and son; Ray Almanza.
Roy is survived by his brother; Randy Crowsen, his wife; Donna Proctor, and his four sons; Eric Fletcher Proctor of Colorado, Rory Proctor of Kermit, Texas, Levi Giles and wife Tamsen of Odessa, Texas, Ryan Mapes of Lamesa, Texas, daughter; Renee Mapes of Lubbock, Texas, grandsons; Dekota, Jermiah, granddaughters; Brittany Ann Giles, Baylee Pena, and five great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2018, visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Monahans Memorial Cemetery Pavilion in Monahans, Texas with Danny "DucTape" Morriss officiating.
