Sara Anne Davy, 36, devoted wife, mother, and registered nurse, entered the gates of Heaven on August 24, 2018 in Monahans. She was a life-long resident of Monahans.
Visitation will be open to the public from 6:00 - 8:00 on Thursday, August 30, at Harkey Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 10:00 on Friday, at First Baptist Church (504 S Alice in Monahans), Dr. Chris Powell will officiate.
Sara was born in Monahans, Texas to Ted and Mary Stafford on August 29, 1981. After graduating from Monahans High School, she attended Odessa College and became a certified Paramedic. She continued her education to include an Associate's in Emergency Medicine and later, an Associate's in Nursing. She has worked EMS in Monahans and San Marcos, Odessa MCH-ER and as a flight medic with Care Star. There, Sara met the love of her life, Loren Davy, they married on December 5, 2008. After starting a family, she completed her RN and returned to Ward Memorial Hospital to work in multiple departments while still taking online courses. Sara graduated with her BSN, while also working full time and serving as wife and mom to her beloved sons, Luke and Jake. Sara worked in the ER at ORMC in Odessa until her death. She was an active member of First Baptist Monahans in the women's and kids' ministries.
Sara is preceded in death by her father, Ted Stafford, mother-in-law, Gena Davy, of Helena, MT, and paternal grandparents, Earl & Ruby Stafford.
Sara is survived by her husband, Loren Davy and their sons, Luke & Jake; her mother, Mary Stafford of Monahans, sister, Angela Simonton & husband Chris, of Monahans and their kids Gavin, Peyton, & Christian; sisters-in-law, Denise McMillan, Jeri Matthews & husband, Ed; brother-in-law, Doug Burner & wife, Val; all of Helena, MT; and maternal grandparents, George & Ethel Finch, as well as many other nieces & nephews, aunts & uncles, & cousins.
Donations may be given to FBC Monahans, 504 S. Alice, Monahans TX 79756. There is also a GoFundMe account set up under "Loren and Sara Davy Family". The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Ward Co. & Winkler Co. EMS, Monahans & Wickett Fire Depts, Ward Memorial ER, Ward Co. Sheriff's Dept, Monahans PD, and Texas DPS.
Sara touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and co-workers.
