Sceneth Wilson

Sceneth (Darlene) Wilson, 95, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Darlene married her husband Jack Wilson on September 10, 1939 in El Paso, Texas, who passed in July 1992. She was born in Sweetwater, Texas on April 5, 1921 to Nilley Capers and Ada Florence Redden.

Darlene worked at Mitchells Thriftymart, for several years as deli manager. She enjoyed providing her service at the Immanuel Baptist Church, such as preparing funeral meals, women's auxiliary, and involved in other church actives. She enjoyed playing dominos with family and friends. Darlene always had folks at her house to feed them with her great cooking.

Preceding her is death are her parents, Nilley Caper and Ada Florence Redden, husband, Jack Wilson, three daughters, Dianna Wilson, Mary Jo Herring, Linda Wellman, two granddaughters, Raven Wilson, Rainey Wilson, and one sister, Eva Hatcher.

Darlene is survived by four sons, Jackie and Donna Wilson of Hobbs, New Mexico, Rick and Rhonda Wilson of Giddings, Texas, Nick and Linda Wilson of Giddings, Texas, David and Gwen Wilson of Monahans, Texas, two daughters, Yvonne and Leroy Smith of Charlette, North Carolina, Rita Mosley of Austin, Texas, 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Pall Bearers will be Jimmy Joe Herring, Ron Allen Mosley, BJ Wilson, Micah Wilson, Casey Wilson, Laramie Wilson, Hayden Wilson, and Rhett Wilson.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas, burial will follow in Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Visit our website harkeyfuneral.com to sign the guestbook or leave a personal message for the family.
