Silvino Franco Holguin

Silvino Franco Holguin (75), of Monahans, TX passed away April 15, 2024.

He was born on May 4, 1948, to Fortino Alvaran Holguin and Margarita Franco Holguin in Del Rio, Texas. He met the love of his life, Maria, in Del Rio, Texas. They married on May 17, 1966. 

            Silvino was a truck driver for many years. He loved traveling all over the United States. He had been retired for two years. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and drinking coffee, he loved to joke around, he liked to talk to everyone everywhere he went. 

            Silvino was an amazing and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

            He and Maria came to Monahans on July 4, 1980, from Ontario, California. 

Silvino is survived by his loving daughters Mary Carillo of Fontana, California; Gloria Holguin of Monahans, Texas; Nelda Holguin (Timmy) of Monahans, Texas; Patty Holguin of Monahans, Texas; Sondra Carrasco and husband Luis of Monahans, Texas; Linda Holguin (Paul) of Odessa, Texas; Brothers Rolando Holguin (Belinda) of Del Rio, Texas; Oscar Holguin of Del Rio, Texas; Norberto Holguin of San Antonio, Texas; and one sister: Janie Mediaz (Victor) of Del Rio, Texas, 13 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

            He is preceded in death by his loving wife, his parents, and one great grandchild.
