Sophia Armendariz

Sofia Armendariz, 65 of Monahans, Texas passed away February 1st of 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was born in El Pobenir, Chihuahua on September 18, 1956, to Adela and Jesus Rodriguez. She worked for Monahans ISD as a janitor for six years. Sofia was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Sofia is proceeded in death by her parents Adela and Jesus Rodriguez. Siblings: Sebastian, Rosenda, Mario, Jesus, and Agustin. Daughter, Claudia Armendariz, granddaughter Elizabeth Armendariz, and mother-in-law Tomasa Armendariz.

Sofia is survived by her husband Emilio Armendariz of Monahans, Texas. Her sons, Jamie and wife Lourdes Adriana Armendariz of Chihuahua, Jesus Armendariz of Oklahoma City, Emilio Jr. and wife Reyna Armendariz of Midland, Texas, Erik Armendariz of Monahans, Texas. Daughters Maribel and husband Modesto Noriega of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Erika and husband Jonathon Knighton of Monahans, Texas. Nineteen grandchildren Modesto, Daniel and wife Allyson, Alvaro, Erika, Yvette, Jonathon, Modesto Jr., Giovanni, Stephanie, Jose Gabriel, Aylin Fernanda, Pedro, Aaron, Anthony, Aiden, Gael, Mily, Kelian and Steven. Four great-grandchildren Noah, Luke, Amadeo, and Eli.
