Steven Berry

Steven Lawrence Berry of Monahans, Texas, passed away on October 9, 2018 at his home in Monahans, Texas following a lengthy illness.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2018 at Harkey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Southside Baptist Church, burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Joshua Rieff officiating.

Steven Berry was born October 26, 1958 to Delbert M. Berry Sr. and Ruby Nell Parker Berry. He graduated from Monahans high School in 1977. He married Beverly Dawson October 18, 2003. He has worked as a pipeline technician for Energy Transfer Partners since 2008. Steve was very active in many community organizations including 4-H Club, Ward Co. Livestock Show, and was the founder of the Cystic Fibrosis Annual fundraiser held in Monahans.

Steve is survived by his wife Beverly, one son; JC Herrington III, five grandchildren; Ava, Ethen, Joshua, Aurora, Jacob, brother and sisters; Sonny and Debi of Dell City, Texas, David of Philadelphia, PA, Paul and Courtney of Cave Creek, AZ, Bob and Dina of Cave Creek, AZ, Cissi and Joe of Salt Lake City, UT, Susan and Ken of Philadelphia, PA, his "Second Mom" Sherry Berry of Peoria, AZ, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kobe Owens, Billy McAnally, Carey Anthony, Peanut Heard, Mark Moore, Jason Bodner, Barry Marshall, and Josh Owens. Honorary Pallbearer will be Angelo McAnally.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Ward Co. 4-H Club, or the Ward Co. Senior Citizens Center.
