Violet Boydston

Violet Fern Barrall, age 89, of Kerrville (formerly of Monahans) passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at a local care facility in Kerrville.

She was born June 18, 1925 in Iuka, Illinois to Canada and Daisy (Weems) Barrall. She was married to Orlan Dewey Boydston. Over the years she worked at Super Burger, Anthony's, and Andy's Deli in Monahans. Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Monahans Memorial Cemetery with Jim Milam officiating. Services are under the direction of Harkey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, Tom Boydston and wife Donnie of Hobbs, New Mexico; 3 daughters, Kay Milam and husband Jimmy of Kerrville, Shirley Dodson and husband Jerry of Bakersfield, California, and Carolyn Morgan and husband Kem of Kingland; 9 grandchildren, Gary Trent, Randy Trent, Tommy Trent, Brenda Dodson, Erica Morgan Conner, Bethany Morgan Foster, Shannon Boydston, Craig Boydston, and Lisa Boydston Chandler; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Canada and Daisy Barrall; her husband, Orlan Dewey Boydston on March 31,2001; her son, Johnny Boydston in January 2002; 2 brothers, Leon Barrall and Basil Barrall; 3 sisters, Imogene Fields, Fay Wolfe, and Beulah Ansparch; and her grandson, John Micheal Trent in 1978.
