William Todd Rush, 46, of Monahans, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 12, 1969 in Monahans to Bud and Wanda (Byrd) Rush.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Monahans and loved going to church. He enjoyed participating in Special Olympic Events. Todd was very friendly and outgoing. You never knew exactly what to expect with his colorful personality, as all the pretty girls found out. Todd was "colorblind," in the sense that it didn't matter what color you were or what race you belonged to. He either liked you or he didn't; and if he didn't, he would most certainly tell you he didn't. He was real in every sense. He loved and was loved. He touched the lives of many and will certainly be missed.
Todd is survived by his parents, Bud and Wanda Rush of Monahans; sisters, Vickie Gallander and husband Tommy of Monahans, and Patricia Bryan and husband Gary of Wickett; special cousin, Donnie Blaylock of Monahans; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2 PM at First Baptist Church with Pastor Morris Johnson officiating.
"Our prayers have been answered
I finally arrived
The healing that had been delayed
Is now realized
No one's in a hurry
There's no schedule to keep
We're all enjoying Jesus
Just sitting at His feet.
If you could see me now
I'm walking streets of gold
If you could see me now
I'm standing tall and whole
If you could see me now
You'd know I've seen His face
If you could see me now
You'd know the pain's erased
You wouldn't want me to ever leave this place
If only you could see me now"
