Willie Lawrence (Junior) Myers, 78, of Monahans, Texas departed from this life on Thursday, May 19, 2022 a couple days after surgery.
Willie was born in De Berry, Texas to his parents Leemon and Willie Mae Myers on September 2, 1943.
Willie spent his early childhood in De Berry before moving to Stanton, Texas where he went to school and played football and sports. He also graduated from Stanton high school. After completing his high school education he moved to Midland, Texas where he made home but went on to enlist in the military where he joined the Army. After the army Willie went on to become a professional truck driver for many years until he became disabled. Willie loved his hobbies. Not only cleaning up his vehicles, he stayed trying to keep his yard and garden together. He had a love for sports and of course we can’t leave out Nascar racing. Willie loved fishing and working on different things when he could. Willie and his son Lamon were really close. He loved his grandchildren and his family and friends. He wasn’t the perfect man but he was the greatest and number one dad. May he rest in peace and he’ll always be in our hearts.
Willie is survived by his son Lamon Myers, his mother Annie Dugas, Deborah Brown, Vernell Myers with grandchildren all of Monahans, Texas, Mychal Myers, Quoeisha Myers, Allie Myers and Arylssa Myers of Carlsbad, New Mexico with great grandchildren Josiah J.
